Hey Tony, thanks for the reply, a couple questions to make sure I follow correctly and can implement with the best results...

In the header. If I list the service area will it be seen differently because its in the header than in the footer (regarding google seeing stuffing), or are you suggesting a service area listing somehow different than just cities?

On the landscaping page, you're recommending I use some of the info that I've used in the image alt tags as actual descriptive text on the page to help with content and user experience? Is there any disadvantage to keeping them alt desc. as they are or should they be shortened? My basic thought was to describe the picture so if it doesn't load people can actually picture in their minds what was there, is that overboard for the alt text?

For the Gallery page, we were slightly concerned with page size and load time if we used the same format as the landscaping page, do you think it would be ok? I do prefer the way the landscape page is setup being able to see both images at the same time. Is there a different format you would recommend for a gallery or just make it match the landscape page and do our best to keep the image size down?

For the general background do you think I should just shift the gradient down so the solid green is only at the very bottom, or look to get away from it all together? I tried the gradient in response to the earlier post about its readability and can see the difference but wanted to keep it something other than white.

My other question for the moment is have you seen sites that you would consider well done, or do you have sites that I could look at to get idea of how some of these things should be implemented or look in use?

Thanks for your time and input I really appreciate you and others here that voluntarily help us out with your broad skills relating to the business.
Matthew

Any more recommendations, suggestions, or critics? Made a few more changes, added a specials page, still trying to figure out a background that is readable and pleasant in appearance other than the gradient I have now. If any one has suggestions I'm open.
Thanks

I've done quite a few updates to the site over the winter, particularly the snow removal pages, any more suggestions for any part of it?

First thing I see, from a usability standpoint, would be to jack your font up to 14 and increase the line height to 150%. When I do it in-browser, it makes it infinitely more readable. A good portion of your target demographic will probably appreciate that.

"Snow Hill Inc. uses reliable equipment with quiet exhaust systems to minimize noise in the early morning."

Lol that's a funny way of saying we plow with gasser trucks.

From experience I have learned people don't care what you plow with as long as its getting done, my truck sounds like a freight train pushing snow at 2am in your driveway.

I have never once had a complaint from noise.

I haven't had a complaint yet, but I know there are some straight piped trucks (gas and diesel) that I don't appreciate driving by my house late at night or early in the morning when my daughter is sleeping. I figure its part of a professional image to keep your truck quiet, obviously being reliable is a must. When I was younger I had my truck straight piped but the novelty wore off and I appreciate my hearing now, lol. To each their own but I consider it a marketable point for my business

Thanks Tony, I had just downsized it as it seemed a little big and chunky to me, but I'll play around with bringing it back up a little. I'm trying to find the happy medium between sleek and smooth and big enough to read without straining. Do you have any fonts that you prefer for that? (feel free to pm if you'd rather not share world wide)
