New JD647A

Hi guys my dealer had a new 2012 late serial number JD647A in stock from last year. I got a really good deal on it and the late model runs have the slightly bigger Kawasaki 20.50 motor.
I have read some mixed reviews on these things and seen some on here with low hours that were put up for sale.
I sure hope I did not make a mistake

we had a 54 inch for a few years. great simple machine. It cut nice and there is nothing more stable on slopes and ditches, saved alot of time because of that. Most of our guys aren't that young anymore and they complained about standing machines cause they'd get sore quick.

its the opposite for me, i think the standers are more comfortable due to the fact that you can use your knees as suspension opposed to your back taking all the hits on a sit down. maybe the suspension ones are better but standing seems to be the way to go for me

congrats on the mower.I am in the market for a new mower and might be pulling the trigger on one of those.A lot of guys here love the 7 iron deck.
I have a question for you,the dealer by me is selling the same mower with the 7 iron II deck, does yours have that or is it the 7 iron pro.Plus does it say quik trak pro on the gas tank or just quik trak. Thanks

I am pretty sure it says quick trax pro on the tank and is a 7 iron pro deck but not the 2 model not sure what the difference is. I thought I read somewhere there was not much difference.
The deck is solid looks very good.
It is pouring rain here this morning and still dark out my machine is out in the shelter logic if I note any differences in the day light I will let you know.
Keep us updated on how you make out with this machine make sure it has the kawi 20.5 HP I did read the older serial number has an 18 hp and that some thought it lacked power on hills.
