I had a few customers looking for a full year program. I live in southern ohio and need help determining what and when to put down. Any info would be great. Thanks

Look for your local Extension office and they should have the recommendations.

Full Programs require the use of a granular pre-emergent herbicide in the spring for Crab-Grass control, so you'll need a license for that treatment.

And, most programs require at least two herbicide applications per season, so you'll need a license for that also.

If you are dealing with cool-season grasses,,, you may want to analyze the differences with warm-season grasses,,, when recieving your advice...

From what I've gathered so far of warm season grasses,,, they don't like to be hit with N just as they're coming out of dormancy either... I know that cool-season grasses do not...
Finally,,, the Ext. offices of the Midwest tend to agree with that, moreso than in the past... I would be sure to find recent recommendations from UnivExt. offices that are actively involved in horticultural/Ag research...
For years the Fertilizer Co. were driving the ideas and notions about timing and amounts of fertilizer to use when and where... Ag research disagreed with the STATUS QUO right away,,, but grasses(horticultural) were not even discussed in hort classes... according to one of my professors,, that was by design,,, purposeful design

We were allowed to ask questions(about lawncare) and get knowledgeable responses,,, but back then, I didn't even know what questions to ask...
Now that I know that clay's texture(platelets) has nothing to do with water infiltration, percolation, or drainage
,,, I wonder what does...
