When I started I bought a 7x16 double axle brakes on both axles and square tube top rail. I run a 48 bobcat walkbehind and a push mower. I also use the trailer for mulch and stone jobs.

If you buy new the first thing I would do is change the bias ply to radials

If you want to fit two zero turns you could get away with the 7x14 but it will be tight,I did it for a couple years and the back mower was touching the gate. But you will need a tandem axle to hold the weight.

And if you do go this route, i would not be using the 4cylinder.. that is a heavy load for that truck. Figure 1500 pounds for each ztr, then around 1000 for the trailer, another few hundred for other equipment and gas and you and whatever is in the truck, and i would be willing to bet you are way over your limit.

I had a toy like yours. It struggled pulling a 6.5x10 trailer with a 60" ztr, BUT the worse part was braking. The trailer pushed me through a stop sign ONCE. I bought a f250 the next week. Had that setup for a few years (f250 and 10'er). Bought another ztr and got a 16' PJ tandem. The f250 and 16' worked good for a few years but I felt like I was overkill. My mowing route is in a 10 mile radius, no highway miles. This year I'm running an f150 and 14' single. I really like this setup so far. But keep in mind a still have the other two trailers for other things. Just think about what you want to build up to, and buy accordingly.

I have just ordered this trailer from ATC. I have been running with a trailer that I built over 15 years ago that is 6.5 by 13 and it did all I needed for all of those years. I want everything out of the weather and out of sight too and I went bigger this time. 8.5X18 with a 4 foot nose with a ramp curb side out the nose. I am going to install an A/C as well so I can make repairs in comfort. May use it to tailgate or go camping from time to time as well.
