Red will come in a 29 Kohler. Just picked up a new one 2 days ago.

We still have 2 weeks before we're working full time.

Actually, the RED comes in either 34 or 38HP. They are the Kohler ECV940 and 980, respectively, for the 60 and 72 and only in the X-series. There is a 27hp, ECV740, but only in a 52, from what I can see.

Model # LZX940EKC606

The cv980 is a carbed 38 hp. The cv940 is efi w/ red. My dealer told me all , as well as what I seen listed in the book. Its the only efi the offer for this year 2013. Last year they had the 29 efi kohler but not this year.So I dont know what year u all are buying so it might be last years model.

Nope. Take a look at this lifted right from Exmarks site for the new RED machines-

"And with our top-of-the-line Lazer Z X-Series, there are plenty of boxes to check. For starters, you can choose from five rugged, commercial-grade engines, including a high-efficiency Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) model. LZX940EKC606 and LZX980EKC726 EFI models also features Exmark's exclusive EGov and RED technologies. "

The X series still comes with the ECV740 EFI Kohler as well, but not in the RED version-

Should have worded better . For a 60" deck this refears to it. They only offer the cv980 efi in the 72" model. And the ecv740efi only in a 52 " ,deck. Any other
info ony these? How is the seat compared to last years?

I haven't got to drive around on one, but I sat on one for a long time at our local openhouse a few weeks ago while talking to the Exmark engineer that came out to it. It is nicer than the seat from last year for sure. It is one nice seat! Too nice. I could take a nap in it way too easily, maybe even while mowing.

Well demoing a 60 red x series. Not sure how the throttle works when the pto is on. I can only get 1 rpm setting when the blades are on. When pto off it will respond to the 3 settings but when the blades are on i can only get max , i think Its either the max or the efficency mode. Only 1 works. Seat is ok. Still a rough ride like my 10 year old z with suspension seat. Quality of cut is great like my old one. It uses alot more gas compared to my 27 kohler. It isnt as well balanced compared to my old one. The front caster want to come off the ground halfway up a hill that I could do easliy w/ the older one It has the horziontal motor compared to this one. A little quieter, It wouldnt start one time until I held the ebrake as far forward as I could. Thought it was the battery at first but the screen was saying 12.6, so then I started messing with it. Alot more plastic on this one and alot of wire and electronics w/ the red and efi/ Wire looms everywhere. Hit my elbows on the rops when picking up trash or just turing around too many times to count . I took them off the older one because they were way too tall . These fold down. . More too come . Verdict still out on this one. Demoing a ferris next.
