Murray 11-36

I have on old Murray 11-36 lawn tractor and it is in need of a new carb. Does anyone have any idea where to find one at for a mower built in the 80's? Really prefer not to take it in to the dealer.

It would help if you put up the brand of engine, etc. However, I can pretty much just blindly guess that it has a Briggs and Stratton on it. Here's some step-by-step instruction as to how to get this part:

1) Somewhere on the engine shrouds there should be some model numbers. Take note of all of those.

2) Go get on this website: http://www.briggsandstratton.com/us/...-number/engine

You should from here be able to type in the models numbers and find a parts list. You should be able to

A) Order a carburetor directly from Briggs, or
B) Look on Amazon/Ebay/etc. and find the part you need.

Hope this helps!

Oh yeah, please do mention what brand of engine and model numbers, etc. that you find. Thanks.

It's a possibility that the carbs are the same, I'd give it a shot before ordering a $40+ carburetor.
