Exmark V Toro 36 inch walkbehind

I greatly need your advice on which to buy. Exmark Metro with ECS controls 16 hp Kawasaki V-twin fixed deck gear drive is $$3450 and there are 2 dealers near me each about 6 miles from residence. The Toro model # 30674 with T-bar 14.4 hp 603 cc Kawasaki fixed deck gear drive is $3,300 minus $300 rebate = $3,000 as final cost. There is one Toro dealer 5 miles away, another about 18 miles, and another 26 miles where I may purchase the Toro. Delivery to my residence is $75. Will use it to cut my 1.25 acre only. What advice and mower do you recommend and why? Also, should I go with the larger engine on Exmark? Thanks

Both are great mowers, and you probably won't see any difference in the cut quality of each. I think that it will come down to which controls you like the best.

I run Toro, and love the T-bar controls.

36 vs 48 Toro T-Bar

I just ordered a 36 inch Toro T-Bar gear drive walkbehind on yesterday. Now, I am thinking of switching to the 48 inch. I am somewhat second guessing my decision to get the 36 inch considering the use it will get. Your thoughts and thank you bjacks for your advice.

36 is good if you have a lot of gates. The belt drive is good to start out with, and eventually if you want to, and I also advise it, you can upgrade to a 48 inch hydro walk or stander with the money you have earned from the 36.
