Thick grass growing thru small plants in the flowerbeds

What's the best way to stop grass from growing up thru plants in the yard ? Also is there a way to save plants that have grass coming thru? Unfortunally the plants base doesn't allow me to get to base of grass to remove. Thanks for any info

Ortho Grass B Gone is the place to start.
Also, Fusilade. You are licensed to apply this, right?

Another option if the grass persists,,, is to dig up the plant, clean up the roots removing all of the grass roots then replant... sometimes that is your quickest and simplest option...
