Few ?'s before I order Ferris 3100

Planning on ordering a is3100 with a 61" ICD deck.

We have the Michigan suspension seat on our other two Ferris mowers. Does anyone have the suspension seat insert? I'm wondering how it compares to the Michigan seat.

I'm going with the Vanguard again, either the 32hp or 36hp. Leaning towards the 36hp. Any thoughts on this??

Also, what have you paid for you 3100? I think our last on was about $10,400, that was over two years ago.

We were quoted $12,200 for the 32hp and $12,700 for the 36hp. This seems high to me. What are your thoughts?

Thanks

Those prices are right in line with what they are here now. Last year when I priced one out it was $10,900 + tax, and that was for a 30 Vangaurd. Both dealers in my area said that the 32 wasn't available here last year.

If you've had good luck, and are satisfied with the power of the 32's, why switch? If power has been some sort of issue, then I can see it, but for a 61" deck I'd think you'd have plenty with the 32.

I just bought a 3100 with the 32 Vanguard for $10,500 but it was one of his demo units he got some money off.... The new 3100 with the isolated foot platform is a lot nicer to run you feel no vibrations in you legs.... The 32 has plenty of power for me and the new seat on it is real soft and comfortable... I'm fixing to put the suspension insert on my... I would say it is in the 1.5 to 1.7 gph range...

Isolated foot platform....Are you nuts....

Its an access panel to get to the zerk on the center spindle. Has a fab hinge on the front and a threaded knob on the back with two rubber mounts so it's not steel on steel.

Not sure i like it yet, mine doesn't have it and it is a pain to get to the center spindle but i'll live.

I hope a dealer didnt tell you it was an isolated foot platform....There is not vibe in mine.

You jump up and down and it move all directions.... And I didn't think my other 3100 had vibrations till i got the new one.... And it has just as big of rubber mounts on it as the gravely with there isolated seat deal.... And no the dealer didn't tell me that... But it's easy to see it moving in all directions and the hinge dosnt keep it from moving... I have both and the new platform is a lot better... Are you nuts.... I have one of each.... I should know the difference
