97 new leads

97 new leads for landscaping and or mowing or fert in month of April

Closed 45.6% of them (combination of lawn or landscaping jobs)

This is what I did-

postcards to new homeowners (500 of them)
Postcards to some of my current customers (300)
Google adwords ($25/day budget)
full color flyer inserted in to Clipper Magazine (32k of them)
Plus whatever my website brings in for organic results

I just shut down google adwords today as I cant keep up with the estimates
(some landscaping proposals take an hour or more each)

I just wanted to give some results from what my spring advertising has done so far. And the phone is still ringing off the hook!

Congrats on the leads from your well thought out marketing mix. I'm seeing organic leads up across all sites this Spring, with Adwords, thankfully, not necessary for the majority. It's great to reallocate that money to test Adwords for other services or markets, or reserve for later use.

Re: your organic leads, is it that you're not tracking them or is it just low ranking and that's why you're augmenting so much with Adwords? $750 month is a healthy Adwords budget that could be eliminated with a solid organic plan.

I dont track what is coming in for organic search.

My site was recently redone so I assume it will take a while for google to pick up the new content?

Are you tracking your Adwords leads/conversions? If not, you really should start segmenting those two out so you have a solid understanding of what is actually driving your customer leads to you. If you make good use of contact forms, I'd suggest a dropdown box that allows people to select how they found you. (referral from a friend, google, bing, yahoo, newspaper ad, Clipper ad, etc.)

It all depends on your site's build quality and optimization. I can rank a page in 24 hours, which is to say, if you've been live for a while and still not ranking well, you need to take a look at what's going on with your site.
