Here in NY the grass cutting season , just started. But have not been getting to many calls for them. Mostly cleanups and mulch. Which month do you guys get the most calls for weekly maintenance. ?

I have given one estimate and that was from a referral. I think my area has reached the complete saturation of lawns that want a commercial cutter vs LCO's needing work. Probably more LCO's than lawns

You know it has not felt as brisk as in past years but the reality is that we really are a few weeks behind schedule as far as weather goes.

The only calls Ive gotton this year is because the last guy doesnt come anymore, he cut the yard for 35$ "WILL YOU?"

It took me 4 years to get a nice route.

The only thing different this year I havent seen a bunch of new trucks, in years past every othe vehicle had a lawnmower on it.

Yea my referral was because a LCO was going out of business. Why? Because he wasn't making a good profit. I can see why with the way he priced the yard. I couldn't get them up to the right price. We still have loads of newbies here.

This month is always the best month for calls. The 2nd best is probably July. South Ga in July is HOT, averaging around 100 during the day, with like 90% humidity. Its usually when the unlicensed hacks are fed up with working in the heat, and when the husbands are fed up with working in the heat.

I'm getting about 5 calls per day all last month and so far this month still holding to 5 calls per day.
80% Lawn seeding 10% mowing 10% hardscape
I just wish the weather would dry up. So I can get the seeding done I'm backing up on work I hate turn down work but I might have to.

You have received more than 150 new calls for new service in a five week period?
