Thoughts/opinions on this 93' International Dump

Looking to add a truck for use by my landscaping and my sandbagging company. my brother is coming to work with me and im getting him a 97' F250 crewcab with a flatbed on it as his work truck.
Looking for a larger truck to haul sand/gravel, sand bags and pull an equipment trailer to haul skidsteer/tractor.

Wanna get yalls thoughts on this International I found 4sale by my shop. its a local roofing/sheet metal company selling the truck. they are updating their fleet.

Truck is a 93' International Dump. Has DT466 motor.middle portion behind cab is stationary w/ dump bed. good tires, didnt see any signs of leaks around the motor/tranny. dump bed is in good shape. owner is asking $5k for the truck.

Go buy it.

Eventually you could put a switch n go on in with a flat bed and some containers.

Take cash lol

The truck is setup for roofing, might even be a nice setup for that, but not for you. No way to add a hitch, weight will transfer off the front axle loaded, and i bet it's got a super light front. On the off chance it does have a heavyish front you could find a shorter bed dump bed and have a decent truck.

keep looking for one of those trucks with the dt466's that has mechanical injection, and a 14' dump body. they are golden, but like someone said this one is setup for roofing. find one setup for general dumping and you will wish you had it years ago.

Why can't a hitch be added?

When I worked for large companies these are the bodies we had. I wouldn't load it full of heavy clay, but mulch was no problem

There looks to be about 3' of bed after the end of the truck frame. I guess it'd work ok til you went up an incline.

Yeah that trucks probably not the best tow rig . Also that dump body is real thin not really made for heavy aggregate. Try looking for an actual dump truck if you want to haul stone, sand and tow there much more versatile. Just my two cents.

going take a better look at this truck this week. seems like making it a flatbed dump would be a nice addition for both my companies.
