Diesel guys, Value on this 00' F350? Worth fixing?

looking to add another truck for my company. to pull a gooseneck dump trailer and skid/tractor. came across this 00' F350 (TRUCK DOES NOT RUN)
2000 F350 XL 2wd. 7.3L 325k miles. crewcab, dually w/ flatbed.
Owner says truck needs a new fuel control module? guessing he means IDM.
he is asking $3500obo
he is intrested in a 4wheeler i have forsale plus $500 cash.

is it worth messing with this truck if i can get it pretty cheap.
here is a pic

the fuel control module is probably the ficm- fuel injection control module. unless they didn't start using those until the 6.0's which were 03.5 but the truck should give you many years of great service even being at 325k already. might cost a bit to get running unless he is absolutely 100% sure it is the idm or whatever. and if so that's a pretty inexpensive part, and easy to change. I would buy one from a junkyard and plug it in to make sure that is it.

Unless you have buyers going to give you more than $3500 for parts I would say nope.
Unless you plan on spending big money on getting the truck running again I would say nope.

To be fair 300k miles on a 7.3 isnt much for that motor. Is the rest of the truck in serviceable condition?

i woudnt pay $3500 for the truck. i would be trading a 4wheeler(that i got for free, fixed up and fliping it) + $500cash. so if you figure the money i put into the $ i put into the 4wheeler and the cash, id be buying the truck for around $800.

i plan to bring a scanner with me to run the codes.

This is wht the truck owner texted me. I asked if the truck turns over. If u put the ignition switch in it. It should fire up and run. When I parked it, it ran, it just had no throttle. All it will do is idle with out a new
fuel control module
