Echo PB602 backpack blower issues

I picked up a PB602 for cheap. It won't start so I started researching and watched a few vids, etc. I picked up the appropriate carb rebuild kit from Zama and put it back together.

Now that I've got it together, when I press the primer bulb, it doesn't do what it's supposed to. There's no suction pulling fuel like it should. I put it back together the way the video I was watching showed, and THAT part worked before I took it apart lol.

I'm not very experienced in this realm, so it could be something very simple, at least I hope.

The issue I had before I rebuilt the carb was that it just wouldn't start. The engine turns when you pull the cord, but it just wouldn't start, so I thought fuel was the issue somewhere.

Thanks for any help/advice you can give, it's much appreciated.

Well I figured that part out, but it still won't start. Rebuilt carb and clean unobstructed fuel line.

It's got spark, right?

If you aren't sure how to check it, pull the plug and put it into the spark plug boot, ground out the tip on something metal on the engine, and pull the cord and watch the spark plug for spark.

Hope this helps!

Thank you, I tried your test and could see a small blue spark, so I guess that part is ok.

Get some quick start and give it a shot into the carb and report back. I assume you put new plug, new fuel filter, and checked the fuel lines to be sure they are good.
