Correct, the LNLA-CNLP is more of a prestigious certification. The test is much harder than the horticulture exam. They tell you from the start that only half will pass after the two day class. It's really just a resume builder. I failed it with flying colors but will take it again.

Horticultural Test

So I just sent off my application, how long before they tell you when you are going to take the test? And who makes the determination of when the test will be taken?

Another question

Okay so I received a phone call from the local Ag office and they said they received the email that said that I wanted to take the test and all I have to do is call them when I am ready and they will get the test sent up here and I can take it. The only thing I am not comfortable with in the book is annuals and perennials. Everybody keeps saying know the annual and perennials but specifically is it all the annuals and perennials in Chapter 17? And is the question like. List these plants as annual or perennial: amaranthus, artemisia, etc. etc. I have read this thread probably 50 times and tried to highlight the things that keep coming up but nothing comes up about pest management, plant pathology, basic entomology, weed science, non chemical pest control, ground covers, rose culture, or landscape contracting. Does that mean that the test doesn't cover that stuff? I am going to take it hopefully at the first of next week so any (more) info would be grand.
