Wanted Toro 455d

Anyone out there have a good used low hour Toro 455d they may want to part with sometime this summer or fall? I know this is like trying to find hens teeth but if there is one out there with less than 2500 hours that's what I am looking for.

Thanks

Anyone have any thoughts positive or negative about the 455. I would like to get a 4000 but they are a bit out of my budget. I have about 25 acres of open area and vineyards and all of my slave labor has gone off to college so efficiency is needed. Thanks!

OK, if that's what you're doing, a 455 will work for you.

If you're doing highly manicured turf, shoot for a 4000 or 4100. Much better QOC, power, 4WD, overall machine.

No idea where to come up with one.

Do you have a utility tractor? What about a small batwing or finish mower? I would assume you have a tractor already.

I have 5 mowers from 60" to 8' however the 8 footer is a brush mower, it does well between rows and the flat's but much of what I mow is generally uneven. I would love to get a 4000 or 4100 but they are still a little pricy and when I looked at trading a few of my smaller mowers, well you know that story. I may sell them on the net.

How many hours can a guy safely get into with a 455 before they turn into trouble?

I don't remember how many hours mine had when I sold them. One had over 2500 hours, I think maybe 3000? It was in decent shape, we upgraded to a 4100 then lost the accounts we needed them for. Kept the 4100 for a season, sold the second 455 in the spring.

I understand what you're saying, I have way too much crap laying around too.

Mark is there anything I should be concerned about with the 455d? I have heard the if the timing belt goes on the peugeot engine that the engine isn't salvageable? Anything else?

What condition is it in and how many hours? I have been looking at the 4100 and 4000's considering the no longer are making parts for the 455?

What are you asking for it?

Thank you
