Draining through the drain plug doesn't remove all of the oil either. Remember how much oil was in the last motor you tore down after draining the oil first? And, you probably wouldn't want to extract ALL of the oil and have the motor restart "dry". For what it's worth, I love my oil extractor. Just my .02. MJ

Mower_medic thanks for letting me know the right way, but I would have to agree with Rustic that Kerosene or a solvet is a no no. I'll keep draining my oil through the plug.

The part number for the complete kit is 670379. It is complete with the tank and pump. Any Tecumseh dealer can get that for you.
