I have the MZ 48", which I really like for what I mow, but if Bad Boy would put a foot-assist manual deck lift on the CZT 48", I'd be very tempted to trade in my MZ. Where I mow out in the country, the foot-assist deck lift comes in handy.

I joined just to ask this question: What's the best cheap ZTR for a small yard? I'm military and move every few years. I had a nice John Deere LT160 that was $3200 but I gave it to my parents. My new house is 1/2 acre, but only about 1/8th is grass. It's just on the far side of what I want to do with a push mower. My current tractor is a pretty cool '66 Sears Suburban 12, but it cuts like crap and breaks down 4 times a mow... So I want a small ZTR that isn't a home depot P.O.S. Suggestions?

Hustler has a new model called the Raptor. Don't know much about it, but Hustler builds a good Z.

Couple mows in now and have brought the mow time from about 1 hour 40 minutes with the tractor to just over 1 hour with this beast. Very pleased, exactly what I wanted. Have had alot of rain and had no choice but to mow with the ground a bit saturated. Mower handled great and cut great. Discharged clippings nicely. Large tires really help to distribute the weight. Ready to do my first oil change. Anyone have input on whether to run convention oil vs synthetic in the motor and hydros. I won't be putting many hours on this thing being a homeowner. Thoughts?

Just broke my second axle on my Gravely and am thinking of just replacing it. Husqvarna and Cub's are the ZTR's I can find locally. Most of the dealers favor the Kawi engine over the Kohler, other than that, I didn't know if there were any major differentiators between brands.

I do have a cub snowblower that I'm impressed with, but thats all I can go by.

I would get something like this. Easy to operate, commercial grade, and reasonably priced
