You want to keep your heaviest weight centered over your axles correct? Front side gate to unload edgers and 21" mowers is best. (And most frequent used equip).Trimmer trap to hold your shears and weedeaters on one side. Front box to hold your fuel and parts.
Rear of the axle we usually store the seasonal small equip.. like fert spreaders or slice seeders.
My trailers have 75" between the side rails. 2 36" or a single 72" fit nicely over the axle but, 48"s are a hassle to load and carry properly.
