Looking for top soil and fill dirt in Abingdon MD

I called Egypt Farms for a price on a tri-axle load of screened top soil. $925.00!!!! Good Lord, does it have gold flakes mixed in?? Even in Northern Va have I never paid over $625.00.

So does anyone in the white marsh / abingdon area have someone they can recommend for screened top soil and fill dirt? I need one tri-axle load of each.

That's whining usually call. Except they keep the soil in Crofton.
So Crofton to Abingdon is too far.

What kind of projects have you been up to? I thought NY was expensive, I can get it for 20/yard delivered or 10 picked up

It's hard to find screened top soil in the lower part of MOCO. Most of the people that screen and deliver top soil can only delivery 10 yds at a time. They use smaller trucks and they say the tri axle trucks can't get in the driveways. So it gets expensive. Therefore, I don't get screened top soil from anyone local there.

We do alotta work in the Bethesda area, Silver Spring, and Potomac. I have screened top soil brought down from Frederick County. Comes on a tri-axle, usually 20 yards, and I pay around $525 per load. This supplier I've been dealing with since 1988, so I'm not sure if they run it down there just for little old me because of our relationship, or if they'd be willing to deliver for others.

In northern VA I get screened soil delivered from a fellow lawnsite's father's excavating company! Great people to work with.

Well, this $925 / load from 'Egypt Farms' was ridiculous.

No way I was about to pay that.

And really, who the heck would EVER pay that?? How do they stay in business???

And the lady there that quoted the price wasn't the most friendly. I politely crossed examined her just to make sure the 925 was correct and to give her an opportunity to double check the numbers.
