Scag Turf Tiger Stripes?

I am looking into purchasing a 2013 TT with 61" and the 35HP Vanguard.

A friend has a 61" TT and his does not stripe well at all.

Curious if his has a deck issue? and will a new one will stripe as well as my Exmark lazer HP ?
Thank you!

The Scag will not stripe as well as a Lazer with the Ultracut deck because the Ultracut deck produces more vacuum due to it's design.

Grass types and height of cut are also two factors that affect stripe definition.

What razorblades said is definitely true I have the tt with vanguard and some yards it stripes great others not so much.... but it leaves a great cut mostly my lawns are fescue and they do great a few with more weedy or warn season grasses is where the stripes aren't as noticeable

I have noticed that my 2 velocity deck tigers will not stripe as good as my old 98-99 flat front decks. I also have a exmark that will stripe , but not as good as the tigers. My old tigers have a 5/8 pitch in the deck and the new ones are only a 1/4.

I have both Exmark 60 and Turf Tiger with a 60 deck. The Exmark does stripe well but does not always hold the stripe over the week until I mow again. The Turf Tiger does. I will tell your this the key to good stripes with SCAG is to use their blades not after market.

Turf tigers stripe nice in Minnesota, but it does depend on the grass and the deck. Do you have a roller or some sort of stripe kit at all?
