Cut It Close,

The super high lift will likely take too much power also make sure the engine is at 3600 rpm +/- 50 rpm when at full throttle without the deck engaged. Moving the front hanger bolts on the front of the deck to low hole drop the front and 1/8" and moving to the higher hole moves it up 1/8".

Best Regards
Wright Mfg.

Will increasing pitch increase vacuum and striping ability?

I just put a set of Oregon 91-623 which is the scag replacement blade for 481711. It leaves a good cut, better than stock blades but the blowout is even worse. I have the pitch set in the farthest hole and tires at 18psi. I guess a baffle kit is next.

i've messed with the pitch all the way up to 1/2 inch, never notice a single bit of change. i'd sure like to know where they are testing their mowers (if at all) and on what type of grass. because everything i've ran across its cut like crap. my honest to god opinion of this mower has been that it was just thrown together and sold. I think someone took the plans for this deck out of the ''shred'' pile in the office

So does the baffle decrease the blowout? I like these oregon blades 91-623. But they are super hi-lift, I do notice a slight decrease in engine power and the blowout is ridiculous. Literally grass in my face. Not to mention dust and dirt. Guess I'll have to order the baffle kit. I have the mulch kit but I cut too many thick lawns for that.

Why so much tire pressure? I think my 52 rh says 13-14psi. Not that this will help you buy a v ride next time much better cut. BTW my wright is a 07 and has 18x8 tires what does yours have. I would like to upgrade to bigger tires with less wheel like the newer ones.

mine is a 2012, not sure on size of tire but they are huge with a little wheel. tire pressure is factory setting. I have the new aerocore deck on mine, not familiar with the old deck. I will tell you that when the complete baffle is removed that the blowout is ridiculous like you describe. the baffle on mine is 2 pcs, I removed the discharge section of it and retained the good discharge qualities and got rid of the blowout. I have noticed that since it has been 90+ and dry here the past few days that i get a little bit, but not enough to even build up on the front of the deck.

Nobody local stocks the baffle so going to order online. Getting prices ranging from $180 - $230. It's been nothing but rain here and still got crazy blowout. Going to switch back to stock blades. A dealer told me to try normal gators but I'm not sure there going to make much difference. Thinking about buying a jungle jack to make my life easier.

I did switch to the blades that were on the mower when I bought it off craigslist. XHT SC2601. They are very close to stock blade. Cut with them yesterday and had the least amount of blowout yet. We'll see.
