I would definitely stay away from financing anything if this a a PT venture and or the business isn't tried and tested.

1500 -2500sq ft is indeed fairly small. I would look for a good 36' used walkbehind. Some folks don't like big mowers on small lawns. The 36' should be able to cover all your bases plus allow you into the fenced yards.

exactly and you guys could probably pick up a good used belt drive 36 for around $700.00 and it would cut down your time considerably so you can add more customers and then get the bigger stuff with the added revenue
