He only uses oem blades from the dealer. I like the stens blades.

Not nearly as concentrated as the XF1(which still cuts great). It hides the clippings very well even though they are larger than the Ultra Cut(smaller than Velocity).

I got to demoe a pro turn 452 today.Absolutely loved the mower.Ride was smooth and cut was outstanding.Only thing I did not care for on this mower is the deck height adjustment wheel. It was awkward to say the least and it only turns in one direction,so you have to go all the way around if you want to change your cut in the other direction.I also found it very hard to turn.Tried a pro turn 460 and it was the same way.I like the John Deere and Kubota deck adjustment much better but that is the only complaint I would have about the Pro turn 400 series other than that I loved it.

Thanks for the review!! The deck adjustment wheel should move in both directions. Mine is very easy to turn.

Did you oil it or make an adjustment of some kind?
BTW my local dealer priced me a new 452 efi with the electric DFTS bagger for $10,499.00 she took 21% off. The Gravely fleet program is the best ive ever seen.

Thats a great price!! I have never lubricated the adjuster wheel. I cant remember if it was stiff at first and loosened over time. Did you try adjusting it when the deck is in transport postion?
