Fescue app in summer

We are in the middle of summer here. High Temps are almost always above 85.

Most recommendations say not Fert on fescue at this time. I've thought about a light app....25-.5lb n... Of 50% sr xrt.

I usually spot treat nut grass as an app but wondered if I could no some Quincept or 3-way at the low rate to target other weeds.

Thoughts from you guy who care for fescue in the heat?

I think any nitrogen in any form on fescue in eastern NC in June, July or August is a bad idea. That grass is semi-dormant and under stress, it doesn't need any N.

My opinion is that you would be OK with the Quincept or 3-way. However, I am far away from your location.

I have a very picky client with 2 acres of fescue, and now he wants me to rid it of bermuda that's encroaching. I'm really trying to convince him to hold off on any treatment until September.

The next time someone complains about your pricing, ask them how much their barber would charge to come over and cut their hair.
