Alot of problems with large yard, please help!

I have a very large backyard, around 5000 sq/feet and it is filled with mostly crabgrass, other weeds and some dead spots. I want to transform it into a small soccer field, i live in florida and my yard has no shade. Please help me with all the steps and everything i need to know to get this done, i want to finish it as soon as possible.

From the sounds of it, you will want to rent a bobcat. Scrape the top layer and then rake out the crab grass and other weeds. Then lay in sod. That would be the quickest way to get it done. If you are looking for a less expensive alternative, dig up as much crab crass as you can, then slot seed. You should have nice turf by next spring.

Roundup the site,Harley rake the entire site. Seed with hybrid Bermuda. Water and this heat will give you your soccer field in less than a month. Easy weed care and repair. The mild winters we have had lately mean it probably won't even go dormant in winter.

Msma for the crabgrass, if you can get your hands on some. I think Image might kill crabgrass. Could be wrong.

Once you do get it transformed you might want to hire a professional to maintain it so you don't have the same problem next year or the year after

Hire a pro for best results. Professional equipment and products would clear out the crabgrass and weeds. Your guy should plant a turfgrass (like Bermuda), suitable to your climate and turfgrass use. Maybe Patriot is close to you.
But surely you jest. Soccer field on 5000 sqft? I hope you meant 50,000 sqft.

Irrigation, fertilizer and Bermuda grass can do a lot in a few weeks.

Do you plan to overseed with rye in the winter?

We generally would get a soil sample first so as to determine what needs to be done to the soil before anything, then round up the entire site, wait 5-7days scrape, harley rake then hand rake the entire site, add the proper amendments per the soil sample recommendations if needed and either sod or seed with the selected turf.
