I see there hasn't been much activity on here lately about the Horticulture Exam, so I'm hoping to get a response by those of you who have already taken and passed the Horticulture Exam in Louisiana. How long did you study before you took and passed the exam? Did you order the study materials and study on your own or did you take a course beforehand? I've read through all of the posts already about what's on the exam so I'm just trying to get a timeframe of how long it took you?? Thanks!

Can someone please give me some guidance as to what information I need to focus on the for the horticulturist exam?!?! I greatly appreciate anyone's help. The book is full of information, I was hoping someone could tell me what chapters the most questions tend to come from or what information is the most important?! Also, what is the test format and approximately how many questions are there?!

Thanks so much!

Best advice I can give is take the review given by Dan Gill. Also go take the test to get an idea of what's on it.

Thanks Mathews I appreciate it. I'm taking it the 25th of April and just been overwhelmed by the amount of information to try and know. Not to mention trying to learn botanical and common names of native trees, perennials and annuals. I appreciate that information! I'm hoping after I take it and see what's on it I can chug through it the second time.

Not much picking around the 504. If you are a licensed horticulturist check out windmill nursery.

Big C, I'm looking for a nursery dealer in the Sorrento area. Where can I find one at?
