Toro Timecutter Z4200 engine quits when i try to move

Hello all, I'm new to the forum and have a question about my mower I hope one of you can answer.
Starting 3 days ago, my mower began cutting off when I move the controls from the park position to go forward or reverse. It doesn't bog down or anything like that. It's similar to when you try to get off the mower with the blades engaged. Any ideas where I should start looking? I'm pretty sure it's an electrical thing, but just don't know where to start.

I don't do this for a living, but I mow my yard, my mother's yard, my fiance's mother's yard, and a few friend's yards. It helps them out, and I enjoy getting outside and working, plus it's nice to make a little extra money. I've been reading the forum for about a month now trying to make my yard look like a pro takes care of it. I've picked up a lot of useful information here.
