I service 85 residential accounts within 2-3 miles from my home.
I fill the truck up about every 2 weeks.
I average around 7500 miles per year. My last truck had 84g after 13 seasons when I sold it. Mowers about 30 bucks per day, throw in a can of 2cycle-done.

Between the truck, 2 ZTR mowers (old 23hp and newer 24hp) and handhelds, I burn an average of around 1 gallon per lawn. We drive maybe 5 minutes between accounts, not too bad. We average around 54 lawns per week.

Some of that gas is used for other stuff, but not much.

I just work out the fuel cost as a percentage of each job I do. For me it's 5-10%. So I might spend $1 on fuel to get to a $20job that takes me 10-15 minutes.

Hmm, 2 trucks for mowing. 2 zero turns, 2 32's, 2 21's. And an 48" wb for back up or to get exercise.
We fill up at least every other day. Fill ups are at least $100 per "rig".

"Rig a" one fill Monday, half Tues, wed, thurs, Fri. And one fill every other sat, and sun.= 3 fill (weekly), 5 fill (big weekly).
"Rig b"- averages a fill every other day 5 days a week. So 2.5 fills per week.

So we have 5.5x100=550 per week, and 7.5x100=750 big weekly.

550+550+750+750=$2600 per month.
This DOSE NOT! Include our third truck, or tractor (diesel), or gas for estimates and consultations. That truck pulls the dump trailer for jobs, and the dump hauls the tractor when we need it.
