Bermuda has a long stem that runs multiple feet across the ground and along the way it produces stems that shoot up with the blades of grass on top. That crap is nasty. Why they would ever purposely plant it any place is beyond me. When you edge your not edging the blades that grow and lean over the edge of the walk. You are actually edging the damn stem of the plant that is trying to grow across the walk. It is like a vine almost.
