Yeah after talking to a few others they have also had that issue with their mower. First time I have run into this and I think I will purchase a meter to occasionally check this. I feel pretty confident I could have done bought one for the money and time I've spent going over yards twice. Live and learn I guess. lol

And how do you like the snapper compared to the ferris? I have ferris now and would love to save the $$ and get snapper but just not sure what I would be missing out on

So far I love the Snapper. Cuts, stripes and hold a hill just as good as a Ferris. I looked at these two mowers side by side before I bought the Snapper and it's really hard to tell them apart if you took the badges off. One thing I never liked about the Ferris (07-current) is that the deck height adjudtment didn't tell you how high you were cutting. The snapper has the same setup but has numerical graph that shows your current cutting heighth.
