Kawasaki does not sell shortblocks....

If the engine can't be repaired....$1400.....
BTW....they require me to give them my old engine before I can get a new one..

The reason I posted this repair procedure is because on the day it happens to your Kaw engine....
There ain't nobody gonna try to fix it.....and Kawasaki is going to demand that you give them ....free of charge..your otherwise good running engine...or they will add $500 to the price of your replacement engine...

It ain't no Kohler.....

Say what? Kawasaki hasn't asked for any of the engines I have replaced on the "Certificate of Destruction" form?
I just put a hole in the block, take a picture and keep on file... Customer, gets the mess back

I wonder why Kawasaki is the ONLY manufacturer to pull this sh!t to begin with... No problems with Kohler, Generac or Briggs & Stratton!

Yesterday......Our local POS dealer informed me that I would have pay an additional $500 for a replacement engine if I didn't surrender my engine to them...

I have a little history with our "local POS dealer"...about 10 to15 years worth....we don't like each other..
In the 2 yrs since taking this job with this semi large landscaper...purchases which previously averaged $7000 to $10000 a month from our "local POS dealer"....have dropped 90 %.....
I don't want to completely want to stop doing business with them..I like to see them squirm....

I have an extensive helicoil set....SAE and Metric....
I only make 2 or 3 custom inserts a year......though I will look into Time-sert kits...
I never have enjoyed drilling and tapping...and breaking taps off in bolt holes

Time-Serts are a lot nicer then Heli coils because once installed they are just like the original threads and the hardware can be screwed in and out of the insert without damaging the insert. I believe there are vids on Youtube.
