Used JD 727a opinion before I pull the trigger

I've come across a 2005 JD 727a 54" 23hp Kawi with 88 hours for $4600.00.

Bought by an older guy who didn't use it much he preferred his tractor.

I imagine it should be gone over for fluids etc but it starts and runs great virtually no apparent wear on the unit garage kept.

Is it worth it?

PS: residential use mowing 2 smooth acres of fescue.

Sounds like a great deal on a great mower. I would try to bring him down to 4. Not much over 4 I would pay.

I went saw it, and test drove it yesterday.

It's mine now for 4200 it looked virtually new in person, ran great and had just been serviced.

Just to revisit.

Been hella busy rounding the new place into shape.

Lawn didn't get fall or early spring care so it's kinda lousy but I've been working with a decent lawn treatment outfit and it's starting to come along.

I figured I'd do the first year with these folks and then see how much of the treatment I could take on.

On the other hand the JD 727a has been great.
