I agree with turflawncare. If you really want to do it, don't let some little things stop you. There may be a very small percent of customers that will not want you because your scheduling, but there will be others. Just be honest and do your best. You will do as well as you are determined, regardless of these issues.

And you can run a business As a part time endeavor. People do it all the time.

I generally come on the same day every week because I do this part time in addition to a full time corporate job, however, I don't always come of the same off day and I've never had a customer complain that I'm not there on the same day. My clients know that I have a full time job in addition to my lawn service. I've also made my customers aware that if they need a cut done for a special occasion (birthday, bbq etc..) that I will do my best to accomodate them.

I know some bigger guys in the industry that are like clockwork when it comes to showing up.... They are at the same account on the same day at the exact same time every single week. I think most clients just don't really care, as long as their yard is kept looking good.

You'll want flexibility as you'll find out other things will come up and prevent you from cutting everybody on the same day, especially as a part timer.
