You all ok?

It's awful quiet tonight. I'm wondering if there were any of the forum members or viewers involved with the tornado (s) yesterday. Hope not. It is a pretty ugly scene.

Yes its a very very scary thing to go through, for that matter any natural disaster.

Aug 2012 at my apt in Chattanooga TN we had a small tornado go right over the apt complex and the funnel touch down less than a block east of us. It was:windy, very wet\hard hail, lightning, and loud thunder, and all my hair sticking up in the air from static electricity since the cell was directly over the complex.

Then I was taking a shower here in Millbrae when the Loma Prietta earthquake 6.9 scale hit.

I always laugh at people who think CA will fall into the ocean on the next big quake. Thats superstition from the Superman movies. The area leveled...most likely, but not drop into the ocean....funny to...people think earthquakes only happen in Ca but much smaller ones continuously and more frequently happen east of the Rockies.

Frankly, after going through the multi tornadoes that hit around me vs the next big quake.....will take the quake any day. At least you're not sitting there for over 2 or 3 hrs weather or not you going to get nailed.

1idejim,

Where is that picture from? It looks so similar to the tornado that hit my town on Sunday. It was an F4 that hit Washington, IL. Luckily I live on the other side of town and had no damage. However, had many friends and customers who lost there homes.
