so the guys left the hose on for about 4 hours today

it was a high of 27 degrees outside. The hose itself froze up a lot, and water began to back up to the spigot and spray out the connection from the hose to the spigot.

Long story short, I showed up, turned the spigot off, the water stopped shooting out the connection to the hose. I then unscrewed the hose.

Other then an icy mess on the side of the house, should I be concerned with any damage inside the walls or does the water not freeze that far in the pipe?

This is a new construction house if that matters.
