How To Get Started Using the Internet?

After December 25th. I want to use the internet to promote my landscaping business.

Are there ways to do so free/low cost?

Someone told me google plus was free. Just being listed on a page when people search for a landscaper, with other local LCO's makes me think that would be a help.

How do I get started?

32- You do not absolutely have to have a website. You can claim your Google+Local page and possibly get it to show up in the local pack. Most of us, however, are going to need a website to really make an impact.

What towns/cities or areas are most important to you? and do you do maintenance, design/build? I will check out your market and let you know what I think is needed.

What are the costs in getting a web page and then getting it on the internet?

The cost to build a simple website varies greatly- from $200 to $2000+. Cheaper ones are usually cheap for a reason, which is why many of us here do our own.

When you Google "Portland Landscaper", you see regular organic results and also results tied to a map. These are local businesses- and you need a Google Places or Google+ Local page to show up in these results.

Again, with a little more info about your company and market we might be able to advise you more specifically.

Whatever you decide to do, start reading on this forum. There are lots of similar threads and links to great resources.

Good for you. If you are not familiar with G+ I suggest you mess around and figure it out. Circle Mike Blumenthal to get info on how to use it as a local business.

Have fun!

I built my website using WebEasy http://www.avanquest.com/USA/softwar...version-500665

Once you get use to it, it is pretty easy.

Website hosting doesn't cost much…I think I'm paying $6 or $8 a month.

When you are filling out your info on Google+ Local, take the extra time to type in every zip code for the areas you want to service instead of just selecting a mile radius.

Once you get this done and get your website up and running, invest some advertising dollars in Google AdWords.
