i went with a dump truck over a dump trailer bc most of the time i need to tow my landscaping trailer and use the dump truck. if i had a pickup with a dump trailer i would either have to take two trucks and two trailers, or make two trips to the jobsite to get both trailers there. with the dumptruck i can do it all at once

It's true. If I were going to spend the money on a diesel I would just get a 550... That's what I did do actually. The price difference is worth it. I would buy a gasser 1ton dump though. They are so cheap, everyone wants a diesel, they are not worth 11-12k more. Nothing wrong with a gasser. I have 2nd thoughts about buying the new 5500 considering I could get 2 1ton gasses with under 20,000 miles and have 10-12 grand left over
