I read this as he paid 4 people $12,500 a year for him to pocket $78,000.

Then when you realize OP, that he had to have expenses such as fuel for the truck and equipment, 2 stroke oil, line. That he would of had to pay his help less.

I do not know where I can find people to work 40 weeks of spring clean ups, mowing, fall cleans at 7.75 and hour to gross $12,400.

These numbers he is throwing out at you smell. Something that is too good to be true is not true.

I new a guy worked hard close to 30 years. With the money he saved he decided to move down to FL. He was sold a Hardware store. Within the year a Home Depot opened up.

He was fed the line that the owner had 3 gas station/repair shops and he wanted to concentrate on his strengths. That is why he was selling the hardware store.

Well as you figured out by the real reason that the Hardware store was put up for sale.

I have always said that people do not get rid of gold mines. They groom a son or daughter to take it over. No kids then a nephew or niece. Trusted employee so they maintain a retirement income.

Your seller is claiming he is clearing $78,000 on $128,000. With him not running it. Letting a key guy that he is paying $12,000 to run it.

I do not care how much money someone claims he is making doing installs and hardscapes. No one walks away from making $78,000 from something that runs on automatic and him not having to do anything to earn it.

Here its 20 weeks of mowing if you mow each week. All the accounts are commercial somaround 16 cuts/year. There is no leaf removal its in an industrial park. No mulching. Just cleaning and mowing

3 guys full time at 15$/hour, 8hours per day 5 days, 20 weeks
a week = 36k$ of salary. Gaz, repair, t-shirts, line trim, 2 stroke oil, etc = 11k$. 36k+11k$= 47k$ of expense. He has 1 ford ranger 2003, a 54" ferris and a 32" ferris wb + 2 trimmers and 2 blowers.

125k$-47k$=78k$

So he has no tax burden or w/c on his employees?

I'd also like to see that ranger loaded down with all that gear plus three full grown men.........
. Must look pretty comical

We use the same truck and we employees are 3 per truck and everything is fine. Ranger can tray 5k load. A zero turn a mower 2 trimmers and 2 blowers is far from a being a problem. Employee salary one at 16$/hour, 2 at 14.5$/hour. Minimum wage here is 10$/hr.

Ditto and post #7 also. That's as far as I read.
