Yes it is an insert made by truckcraft. We looked at a few different dumpers and came across this one new on CL this summer. New the aluminum goes for over $7K but we got this one for about half of that.

What is involved in putting on and removing the leaf box?

How is the pickup truck modified to install the truck insert?
The insert or dumper is the bottom portion and requires no modification. 4 holes were drilled in the bed itself to secure it to the truck. As far as wiring goes, it comes with its own harness and inline breaker, it comes with about 20ft of wire wrapped in a protective sleeve which was more than enough to wire it straight to the battery. The dump controller itself I wired inside the cab, since we have no plans of removing the insert anytime soon. The leaf box just consist of the wall sections and the section over the cab and can be assembled in a few hours.

found these guys http://www.rons-auto.com/Truck-Equipment.html
they have an aluminum flat bed with hoist for a short bed truck for $6,500 installed. Expensive but I bet it would be worth it in the long run.
