We have sold when doing a lot of tree jobs but not consistently. Good side income that is not hard to do and if you have the land to keep wood on or busy road to show to people driving by we would do a lot of business. But moved homefront to a more remote location. Not as much demand like we used to have and not as many tree jobs like before as we got away from them a few years back.

I don't sell fire wood but I do want to know what a "ricks" is.

For my wood burning stove I exclusively use these from
http://www.northidahoenergylogs.com/

I buy 6 pallets at a time every 3 years.

I have been hearing there is a shortage of seasoned firewood around here, the key is seasoned, green is everywhere

Get into tree removal then haul it away cut it up and sell the wood double triple or more your job profit lol

There's not that much money in it when you take in all you're expenses

What really pisses me off when someone tries to trade tree work for firewood.

Yeah I'll give you a $2k job for free if you give me the firewood. And then I have to pay someone to split and stack it. You tree only has two cords at the most. That's worth $300 to me

But but the guy from Craigslist said he'd do it for the wood!

People are fing cheap

Is there money to be made in this industry compared to lawn care? Where I live I would literally have to drive 30 minutes 1 way just to get to a location where wood can be cut.

Unless it is heavily mechanized with heavy equipment it makes mowing lawns look like a cake walk.
