Yeah you can bulletproof it yourself for 1500. Not impossible.

There really was only one era that had injection issues. After that era they had head gasket issues.

So as I was saying in the original post before wiffyspark had to ad his professional opinion, the guy that's looking for a new research before you buy, and for the truth about powerstrokes look "powerstrokehelp" up on youtube he is the largest powerstroke diesel shop in the country and will give you the truth on those motors.

Injector were going out from coolant going thru them from bad egr coolers. Not from bad injectors just like turbos on the early models same reason and high pressure pump problems case to head tube and so on

Bulletproofing a 6.0 for $1500? I dont think that is possible even with doing the labor yourself.

Dont for get you will need head gaskets . you can buy the hole kit for a round 1500 from a few diesel site. everything you will need to do it your self but it sucks with the cab on. you can do a Bulletproof egr cooler that has tube instead of radiator fins in side have use 3 so far have not had one come back blown yet one truck has 60000 on one so far .

Yeah I've done it cab on. Stick to ford oem gasket.

Had a local shop that would dip the heads and flux em for $60. Machining if needed was another $60

I always split the ac box and have plenty of room. Even replacing an engine I just removed front clip and slid it out
