It probably won't run right without cats.


Whiffy you sure can tell a bad ujoint by turning the shaft back and forth and feeling for slop.

Yeah I turned back and forth and they were fine, no slop or what not.
Why wouldn't it run right without cats?

If you have two O2 sensors then the computer will not be able to compensate for the new readings without a converter.

You can delete the cats but you'll need truck tuned. That's another $300 on top of materials to delete.

So it's a wash.

Take it to a shop and have them make sure it's the cat. I use a rubber dead blow to find rattles
