Got a new( to me) trailer

Well today I went and finally upgraded. went from my 5x10 trailer with NO ramp to a 6.5 by 12 with TWO ramps. Not a heavy duty trailer, but im trying to upgrade with minimal debt. Its a little over a year old with use from a previous landscaper, but that's ok. Came with a 3 place trimmer rack and 2 blower racks, and I paid 1300.

Not a great deal by any means, but not bad either. No pics yet.

If anyone else is running one of these trailers with the side and rear gates, in a similar range, post a few pic of your set up and how the equipment is placed on the trailer. Im looking for some ideas. I want to be able to carry both the 21 inch Honda, and Exmark30, and also carry the Gravely ZTR daily. When needed, switch out the ZTR for the lawn tractor when needed.

In the past, I could only carry the two walk behind mowers, OR carry the ZTR and the 21.

Side ramp is pretty much useless because it's not Long enough. The angle it too steep for most mowers. Your 21inchers would be fine and maybe a small wb. They do work is you are park beside a curb. I've hauled a 36wb 48 stander and a 52 stander all turned sideways. Or 61 ztr and 52stander. I don't use 21s at all. I'd the rack are good racks you got a fair deal. I'm guessing it's a single axle. At 6.5 wide they bend easy even with not overloading them.

Yeah, I knew going it they aren't heavy duty trailers, but im not loading it down with too much equipment. Ill be using the side ramp for my 21 and 30 inch mowers, and the rear ramp will allow me to swap out the ZTR or garden tractor when needed. I just got to make sure I can keep the weight of the ztr over the axle so I don't get too much weight towards the back.

I know what you mean about side gate being to steep. When we put mine on we actually made it a foot longer. 5ft & tow pretty much level with the truck & everything has worked out great. Plus when you are pulled curbside my gate goes past the strip of grass along the road that a lot of sub divisions have & don't have to worry about messing up that part if to wet..

I just realized I never updated my signature when I got my new "to me" truck last fall! Ill have to get some pictures of both and post them up in here soon. Last fall I picked up a 2000 Chevy 3/4 ton long bed with a cap. Its got high mileage, but does the job quite nicely so far.

To say im excited to get this season going is an understatement! Its going to take some time to work out a "system" for placement of all the gear on the new truck and trailer, but that will come with "dirt time"
