Re: versatile compact tractor

I use a New Holland Boomer 1030. Rated @ 28 horsepower engine, 23 horsepower pto. Diesel is a 3 cylinder Shiabura. 4wd versatrac hydrostatic transmission, rear & mid pto. Tractor has selectable front/rear/both pto operation, manual pto engagement (no electric clutch), ROPS, power steering, independent rear 3 point. No cab, just an open station.

I have a fel, 60" mmm, 72" Woods rear discharge 3pt finish mower, Woods 60" 3pt brush mower, 60" 3pt Harley rake, 63" front mount 2-stage snow blower, front mount 60" rotary brush (with wheel kit), 6' 3pt back blade/scraper & 60" 3 pt rotary tiller. Tractor has industrial tread tires. Very versatile, maneuverable tractor that's easily transportable on a trailer to a work site. Give New Holland a good look. Been a very good, profitable, versatile tractor. Hope this helps.

Don't buy a deere unless you like paying for a name. I have 2 IH's they work great. If you buy a massey, case, new holland or a ford they are the exact same.

I use a Kubota grand L 3130....i think the 3200 series replaced this model. I have industrial tires on it. I pull a 6ft bush hog, plow, box blade and field cultivator. The most load is definetly the bush hog. In really thick stuff, I may pull back one gear. I was surprised how well it handles it. I think its a good all around light tractor. I have only had a few minor issues in nearly 1500 hrs.
