You can set your preferred version in Google Webmasters and/or in the 1&1 settings. May have to go to their support to find the setting.

You might want to consider fading the background image, it's a little bold and distracting when looking at the site. I'm a fan of your blue outline, no-fill button-styled links. Very clean.

At the bottom of your "Featured Project" page, you have "Pictures are worth more than a thousand words." with two links below it. The first one takes you to a page with ONE photo on it... Second one was a little more... Maybe you should link to the two actual gallery pages listed in your main menu.
