Any suggestions for this fountain

We currently maintain a commercial property. There is a fountain in the center court. It gets windy here. I dont like this set up. There are five pumps running this. We have had to replace 3 pumps in hte last 2 years. The lights always seem to go out. I was wondering if there is a 1 pump type of set up we can use. The dimensions are 18 ft diameter (inside of wall), 2ft tall walls. The inner part of the fountain it has a sunking area where the pumps sit of 9 ft diameter and 1 ft deep. Here are attached pics of current set up.

I'm not a water fountain/plumber/lighting guy, but I do use those pumps in 2 large ponds. I can tell you without a doubt.....those pumps will not last very long turning them on and off a lot...I don't know why but it seems to be common knowlege among the 2 pond guys that I have delt with. Mine will last about a year and a half turning it on and off 10-20 times a year..maybe less. I am now on my fourth season on the one that runs continuously. If I remember correctly, mine are about 8000gph each and are bigger than yours..I think i paid 700. Just something to consider...just one of mine will heat a 50gal drum to the point that you can't put your hand in it.

Some of these custom fountains are real 'Rube Goldbergs'.

Couple of questions about the pumps set-up.

-Do you know the total gpm requirement of all of the nozzles?
-Could you post a close-up picture of the electrical junction box mounted on the fountain's basin rim?
-How many hours/day does the fountain operate (continuous)?

On the lights, try switching to LEDs. They will last longer... UNLESS the water seal integrity on the lights has been compromised. Are they plastic or metal fixtures?

Where's the outfit that installed this fountain? It does'nt appear to be that old.
