ok so i went and picked it up. its not to bad. battery is dead so didn't start it yet, but he says again it runs but very loud knock, so i found a master rebuild kit for $250 shipped. Also the front right wheel needs welded onto the deck its pretty loose. But i think i made out ok.

here is the pics. not bad for $200






i put a battery on it and it cranks but dont start. took air filter off, there is oil all over the place. idk.

i'd rebuild that kohler. as they are easy to do and last a long time. The only downfall to kohlers are sometimes you get a bad head gasket or they break rods. You could also put a briggs on there. I have had them last over 2000hrs with maintnance.

Rebuild is about to happen, found a master rebuild kit for $250 shipped.

I would check for any leaks around the hydro pumps. I had an old surfer that needed both pumps replaced, sold it instead. pretty sure they were somewhere between 5-600 each.

Got another one. Came across a 99 Scag 61" Tiger Club zero turn with 3500 hours. Well maintained, just a lot of hours. Has a Kohler 25hp motor, giving it to me for $1000. Is that a good deal? Same boat as the other one I just got, plan to rebuild motor for around $300 or so.
