Keep in mind that most apartment complexes that house certain ethnic groups have a ton of trash that requires picking up. I Had a apartment complex a few years ago where I picked up grape soda cans, 40s, Newports and chicken boxes for 2 hrs and cut for 45 min.

Give it an hour, blowing off another 30 minutes.
you've got 2 hours and 10 minutes on site.

call it 2.2 hours x $50/hr = $110.00

oure figuring more than twice that…. is there more to it?
obstacles like lawn chairs? people?
do you have to blow off the parking lots?
lots of sticks… what is there I can't see?

Blowing the drive. And that's why I came here. I've never bid an apartment. So I didn't know.

this is true… but how can you estimate trash that may or may not be there?

does the contract stipulate police trash? (some do)

I have had several before I like to use the walker on… mow up the wrappers, and papers etc pick up the hard trash put it all in their dumpster.

Ive also run a walker behind blower before, blown all the trash into a corner then mowed.

Ive had people on the lawn refuse to move as they are out sun bathing etc etc….

unless you know the property really well… it's nearly impossible to gauge those things.

2 extra hours for trash policing at his rate would be another $100…. and he's likely to lose the bid because most people won't include that kind of extra time to pick up trash.

that level of trash really demands either a conversation with management about doing something about their trash…. or just a go find someone else notice.

You solo or you have a crew

The 100k I would say you will burn 3-4 hrs there
Small one you burn maybe 1-2 hrs

But I'm looking at it If I mowed it But without seeing in person

Turn your price in all can say is no your to high Then next time you could lower it some But from your price I say your in the ballpark

well blowing all that hard surface certainly adds a bundle of time… figure all the parked cars, crap from the trees… everyone thinking you are destroying their paint job with dust…. whats the standard? just clear off the drive? or does the debris need to be hauled off?

with blowing off that drive, and probably doing it during the day with people and traffic back and forth?

$270 might be really tight.
