[QUOTE=herler;5002779]Let me tell you something about these so-called ethanol free gasoline stations...
It's not optional, your local gasoline station doesn't pump it's own petrol so they don't have a choice,
they buy it from a distributor who in turn gets it from a refinery.

Even if they did pump their own petrol, it still has to be refined.

By law, at the refinery level the EPA mandates a certain percent of ethanol be introduced per gallon of gasoline.
It's required, from the manufacturer's level once petroleum arrives at the refinery to become gasoline, ethanol is introduced.
They have no choice, it's not optional.

These manufacturers then sells the already ethanol-enriched fuel to a distributor.

I have more bad news...
Only thing anyone has been buying free is hype and bull.

I edited the above post to try and shorten it a little.
I can't believe you would come on here and try to tell something that obviously you don't really know about.
I have two stations that I purchase 90 octane ethanol free fuel from.
As stated in one of the posts above you can do your own test to see if it really is ethanol free. I have done this on each station I get the fuel from. Works great.
By the way both of these stations label the pump as "recreational fuel" and they do charge a premium for it.
I also put it into our small Honda auto and can tell the difference in MPG.
Anyway, be careful with your "facts" unless you can back them up.
